SUMMARY:2026 Mid-term Election Day\, November 3\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:In a super important year\, Arkansans have the opportunity to vote for and elect their chosen person to represent their values in state and national congressional positions as well as other issues. \nRegistration Deadline: To vote you must register by Monday\, October 5. To register\, go to the county clerk’s office with proof of age and citizenship.\nEarly voting: Begins on October 19 at locations to be announced. If you have questions about early voting locations\, call your county clerk and have your district or precinct ready so they can direct you to the nearest location. Voting locations are open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on the Monday before election day on Tuesday\, November 3.\nElection Day Voting: Begins at 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. If you are in line at 7:30 p.m.\nyou will still be able to vote.\nAbsentee Voting: Absentee Voting is available to Arkansans unable to vote in the regular\nearly or election day voting.\nQualifications follow: Qualifications to Vote Absentee\nTo be qualified to vote an absentee ballot\, you must meet one of the following criteria: \n\nYou will be unavoidably absent from your polling site on election day\, OR\nYou will be unable to attend your polling site on election day due to illness or\nphysical disability\, OR\nYou are a member of the Uniformed Services\, merchant marines or the spouse or\na dependant family member and are away from your polling location due to the\nmember’s active duty status\, OR\nA U.S. citizen whose residence is in Arkansas but is temporarily living outside the\nterritorial limits of the United States.\n\nYou can download an application for an absentee ballot at Absentee_Ballot_Application_rev._8-2023_.pdf or contact your local county clerk. This information on absentee voting is available at the Arkansas Secretary’s website Arkansas Secretary of State \nThere is no more sacred honor or responsibility to your country and family than to vote. As long as good men and women vote\, our country if safe from our detractors both without and within. The Association does not tell you for whom to vote; but\, we ask you to become involved with the issues and as advisors to your representatives.

DESCRIPTION:The 2027 Arkansas Legislative session will begin on January 11\, 2027 at noon. Legislation can be filed as early as November 15\, 2026 with deadlines for various filings scheduled until March 1\, 2027. It is imperative that Association members stay appraised of issues and introduce themselves to their state legislators and senators in advance of the session. Your input will be the deciding\nfactor on how your legislators vote. They must have your professional input to make an informed and considered decision. If you are unsure of your Representative or Senator\, call the Association office and we’ll find them for you. You can also use the Arkansas District Finder website at Arkansas District Finder Enter your address and you will be shown a map where you live and the name of your State Senator and State Representative as well as your district. Click on their name and you’ll see their picture. \nTo make contact with them\, go to the Arkansas Legislator Website at Legislators List – Arkansas State Legislature Scroll down the alphabetical list then click on their name for more information including their email address. Remember that they want and need to know you and your position on issues. The Association will call for your help if the need arises.
