Northeast Chapter
The North East Chapter serves 8 counties and is in the heart of Arkansas State University Red Wolf country. ASU is the State’s second largest University boasting an enrollment of over 14,000 at the Jonesboro campus. It is a cornerstone of economic development and cultural opportunity on 9 campuses. The North East Chapter region is a rich mixture of agriculture, heavy manufacturing, and education. It encompasses the Northern Delta fields of soybean, rice, cotton, and wheat. Two large steel processing plants, Nucor-Yamato and Nucor Steel, make this region one of the largest steel producers in the country. Other industries include American Greetings, Creative Foods LLC, Maverick Tube Corp., Coil Tec, Terra International, Milwaukee Tool, Siegel-Roberts, NIBCO, and Peco Foods. The demand for and opportunities for skilled, well-trained HVAC technicians grow with the economy.
